Kazakhstan Reign Supreme at ATF 12&U Central Asia Regional Qualifying
The courts of Dushanbe, Tajikistan, buzzed with excitement from June 3rd to 7th as the ATF 12&U Team Competition Regional Qualifying (Central Asia) unfolded. Hosted by the Tajikistan Tennis Federation and supported by the Kazakhstan Tennis Federation.
Five teams each in the boys’ and girls’ categories battled it out throughout the week. The final day witnessed a culmination of dominant performances and fierce rallies with top teams securing the spot at the 12&U Team Competition Finals later this year in Kazakhstan.
In the girls’ category, Kazakhstan displayed exceptional form, securing a convincing 3-0 victory over Uzbekistan. The Turkmenistan team mirrored this feat, shutting out the host nation, Tajikistan, by the same score line.
The boys’ category followed a similar pattern, with Kazakhstan overcoming a tough challenge from Uzbekistan (2-1) to claim the top spot. Turkmenistan secured third place with two wins, while Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan finished fourth and fifth, respectively.
The final standings paint a clear picture of Kazakhstan’s dominance. Both their girls’ and boys’ teams emerged champions, with an undefeated record of four wins each. Uzbekistan’s consistent performance secured them a well-deserved second place in both categories. Turkmenistan finished a respectable third in both divisions, showcasing their talent and potential. Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan will be aiming to build on their experiences for future tournaments.
Congratulations to Kazakhstan for their impressive victories in both Boys & Girls Category and also Uzbekistan for securing their spots at the 12&U Finals. We wish all participating nations the very best in their continued tennis journeys.
