Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia (April 26, 2024) A White Badge Officiating School commenced on April 24th at the National Tennis Centre in Kuala Lumpur, which is conducted by ITF. Designed to elevate the skills of experienced officials, the school runs until April 28.
Aspiring officials from all across Asia are attending the school, which focuses on the Referee and Chief of Umpires stream of officiating. The school feature 24 officials: 8 for chief umpires and 16 for referees.
The school is being conducted by three very experienced teachers from ITF: Wayne Mckewen, Alison Hughes, and Nitin Kannamwar.
A successful candidate will be awarded a white badge (referee) and a white badge (chief of umpire). The school will help promote officials and officiating standards in Asia.
