WTA Finals Logo Unveiled in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia

The WTA and Saudi Tennis Federation unveiled the 2024 WTA Finals logo yesterday at a grand ceremony in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This event marks a significant step in promoting women’s tennis globally and aims to inspire 1 million people to take up the sport by 2030.

In April, the WTA announced Riyadh as the host city for the prestigious WTA Finals from 2024 to 2026, after a thorough assessment of multiple bids from various nations. The tournament will offer a record prize money of $15.25 million in 2024.

Steve Simon, WTA Chairman and CEO, expressed his excitement stating, “Bringing the WTA Finals to Riyadh is an exciting new opportunity for us and a positive step for the long-term growth of women’s tennis as a global and inclusive sport.”

Former World No.1 Garbiñe Muguruza was named Tournament Director for the WTA Finals Riyadh, making her the first former player to lead this event. Muguruza, who won the WTA Finals in 2021, will oversee the tournament from 2024 to 2026, starting with this year’s edition from November 2-9. She will collaborate with the WTA, the Saudi Tennis Federation, and the Ministry of Sport for the event’s strategic planning and delivery.

The launch ceremony saw the presence of notable figures such as Tournament Director Garbiñe Muguruza, Community Ambassador Judy Murray, representatives from the WTA, and Saudi Tennis Federation President Ms. Arij Mutabagani.
With the top eight singles players and doubles teams competing in the PIF Race to the WTA Finals, the 2024 edition promises thrilling matches and a spectacular showcase of talent in Riyadh.
