China’s Wang Xiyu and Taiwan’s Liang En-Shuo will make their French Open debut after winning the final round of the women’s qualification on Friday.
The 2018 US Open Junior winner and World No 145, Xiyu Wang came through a three set battle with a 6-3, 6-7, 6-3 – epic win in two hour and 21 minute clash against the world No 113, Elisabetta Cocciaretto from Italy.
Wang made her slam debut at the US Open in 2019, where she lost in the first round to Kirsten Flipkens. She will next play Danielle Collins from USA in the main draw first round in Paris.
On the other hand, The 2018 Australian Open junior winner Liang En-Shuo of Taiwan outlast Harriet Dart from Great Britain in the final round in the women’s qualification round in straight set 6-2, 6-2.
She will face France’s Fiona Ferro in the first round.
