Top seeds Hsieh Su-wei and Barbora Strycova booked a ticket for their maiden Australian Open women’s doubles final with a first-class display on Margaret Court Arena. The pair defeated Czech duo and No 4 seeds Barbora Krejcikova and Katerina Siniakova 6-2, 6-3. Hsieh-Strycova will face No 2 seeds and 2018 champions Kristina Mladenovic and Timea Babos in the finals.
In the Men’s doubles category, Kazakhstan’s duo Alexander Bublik and Mikhail Kukushkin reached the semifinals at the Grand Slam tournament for the first time defeating Australian pair of James Duckworth and Marc Polmans 7-6(6), 7-5. The duo will next play Rajeev Ram and Joe Salisbury.
