Junior Asian Team Ready for Europe Exposure Tour

The ITF/ATF GSPDP Team to Europe, comprising of talented young players from Asia, is ready to embark on a four-week European tour packed with back-to-back junior tournaments. The action kicks off on July 5 with a training camp in France (5-7 July). It will allow the players to adjust to the European conditions and clay courts, which will be the surface for all four tournaments.

The 2024 Grand Slam Player Development Programme (GSPDP) team boasts a strong line-up of six boys and six girls. Three experienced coaches will also accompany the team, providing guidance, managing schedules, and supporting the players throughout the tour.

Boys: Dharma Pantaratorn (Thailand), Dongjae Kim (South Korea), Hruthik Katakam (India), Traigel Rodion (Kazakhstan), Tavish Pahwa (India), Kiarash Sadeghizdiedi (Iran)

Girls: Yeseo Park (South Korea), Yeri Hong (South Korea), Sijia Zhang (China), Paweenon Nualsri (Thailand), Zooey Mak (Malaysia), Aahan A. (India)

Coaches: Asim Shafik (Pakistan), Czarina M Aravelo (Philippines), Jiheon Im (South Korea)
The tournament schedule for the upcoming weeks is as follows:
1. Open Stade Francais – 8 July 2024
2. Tournoi Loire Vallee – 15 July 2024
3. Tennis Europe U14 D’Annecy – 22 July 2024
4. Int. Duetsche Tennismeisterschaft – 29 July 2024

Initiated by the ITF, the GSPDP aims to nurture tennis talents from emerging nations by providing them with essential resources, coaching, and competitive opportunities. This program is instrumental in supporting players from to gain invaluable experience competing against top talent players, helping them grow and develop their skills towards potentially competing at the Grand Slam level in the future.
