The first Asian 14 & under tournament for the year 2021 took placed in Kazakhstan, upon partial resumption of Asian 14 & Under circuit. It has been successfully concluded in the Aktobe city of Kazakhstan under the strict covid-19 measures.
It was category 2A tournament, which is a new category of tournament, formulated due to Covid-19 pandemic and is being permitted only till 31st March 2021. It is open only for the domestic players of the host country.
The event saw singles main draw of 32 for both boys and girls.
Demid Gorbachev who was seeded 2, won the single title in the boys category after defeating No 1 seed, Mansur Shaken by 6-4,6-1.
In the girls’ event, No. 4 seed Aiganym Kassymova claimed the single title toppling No. 1 seed Anastasiya Krymkova in three setter match by 3-6, 6-2, 6-1.
The second tournament of 2A category is underway in Aktobe from 23rd– 30th January 2021.
