Taiwanese Chan sisters are back and this time with a full swing. Latisha Chan and Chan Hao-ching have qualified for the quarterfinal defeating Romania’s Monica Niculescu and Japan’s Misaki Doi 7-6(5), 6-4.
The sisters will face Elise No 3 seeds Belgian’s Elise Mertens and Aryna Sabalenka of Belarus in the Quarterfinals at the Australian Open 2020.
The other Taiwanese player to enter quarterfinal of the competition in women’s doubles is Hseih Su-wei who along with her Czech partner Barbora Strycova beat Nina Stojanovic of Serbia and Darija Jurak of Crotian 6-4, 6-4. The pair will meet US duo Jennifer Brady and Caroline Dolehide.
