The Asian Tennis Federation (ATF) Team opened its 2026 GSPDP/WT/ATF 14&U Team to Europe campaign with several encouraging performances at the Open Stade Francais in Paris, France, the first of four tournaments on this year’s European tour.
Following a three-day training camp in Paris, the team began its European tour at the Open Stade Francais, where the players had the opportunity to compete against some of the best juniors from around the world.
In the girls’ singles, Seohyeon Kim of Korea claimed the title after a convincing 6-1 6-1 win in the final. Aiym Kanagatova reached the Round of 16, while Lena Lin and Padmapriya Ramesh Kumar progressed to the Round of 32.
In the boys’ singles, Muhamad Eyad Saleem (Syria) was the team’s top performer, reaching the final before finishing as runner-up after a strong week in Paris. Punnapat Nimnuankul (Thailand) advanced to the Round of 16, while Mingeon Choi (Korea) and Puneeth Manohar (India) reached the Round of 32. Ethan Jake Frans (Indonesia) and Him Wong (Hong Kong, China) also competed well, gaining valuable experience against a strong international field.
The ATF Team also enjoyed success in the doubles events. In the boys’ draw, Punnapat Nimnuankul and Mingeon Choi advanced to the semi-finals, while the partnerships of Puneeth Manohar / Ethan Jake Frans and Muhamad Eyad Saleem / Him Wong reached the Round of 32.
In the girls’ doubles, the Korean pairing of Seohyeon Kim and Tae Hee Kim finished as runners-up after reaching the championship match. The Indian duo of Srishti Kiran and Padmapriya Ramesh Kumar, along with the partnership of Lena Lin and Aiym Kanagatova, both progressed to the Round of 16.
The Open Stade Francais marked an important opening chapter of the GSPDP/WT/ATF Team to Europe, a development initiative supported by the Grand Slam Player Development Programme (GSPDP) that provides Asia’s leading 14 & Under players with the opportunity to compete against high-level international opposition and gain valuable experience in European conditions.
The team will now continue its European campaign at the Tennis Europe U14 d’Annecy in France, carrying forward the confidence and experience gained from a successful opening week in Paris.
