The ATF 14&U High Performance Camp will begin at the Lawn Tennis Association of Thailand in Nonthaburi on 22 September. The five-day programme will bring together a selected group of eight boys and eight girls from across Asia.
The camp has been planned to give the players quality training and match preparation ahead of the GSPDP Asian 14&U Junior Championships 2026, which begins at the same venue on 28 September. During the camp, the players will work on different areas of their game through on-court sessions, physical preparation and match play.
Former Thai professional tennis player, Danai Udomchoke will lead the coaching team. Danai reached a career-high ATP singles ranking of World No. 77 and won the men’s singles gold medal at the 2006 Asian Games. He also won nine ATP Challenger singles titles and reached the third round of the 2007 Australian Open. Since retiring from professional tennis, he has remained closely involved in coaching and player development in Thailand.
Danai will be joined by India’s Namita Bal and Sri Lanka’s Ranil Harshana. Namita is a former professional player who has been coaching since 2015. She has worked with junior players through several development programmes and has also served as captain and coach of India’s junior Billie Jean King Cup team. Her sessions will focus on technique, fitness, confidence and preparation for competition.
Ranil Harshana brings considerable experience in high-performance training and physical preparation. He has worked with Davis Cup, Billie Jean King Cup, ATP and WTA players, as well as athletes connected with major international multi-sport events. He was also part of the ATF coaching team that worked with Asia’s 14&U players during the 2026 European tour.
The camp will give the young players an opportunity to train in a focused environment, learn from an experienced coaching team and understand the physical and mental demands of competing at a higher level. It will also allow them to spend time on court together before turning their attention to the championship.
The ATF 14&U High Performance Camp will conclude on 26 September, after five days of training, learning and preparation in Nonthaburi.
