Paradorn through semifinal in China Open'06

The sixth seeded Thai Paradorn went through to the last four of the China Open when Davydenko retired with an injured shoulder and a "loss of concentration" at 6-2 2-0 down in the final match of the evening. The Thai will now play No. 3 seed Marcos Baghdatis, who cruised past Srichaphan’s compatriot Danai Udomchoke 6-2, 6-1 in 79 minutes.
