Bhupathi enters into the double semis at China Open

Mahesh Bhupathi and his Croatian partner Mario Ancic made it to the semifinals of the $475,000 China Open, they defeated the third seeded American pair of Eric Butorac and Travis Parrott in a tight contest on Thursday.

The Indo-Croat duo came through 7-6, 3-6, 10-6, to make it to the last four. After taking the opening set, Bhupathi and Ancic allowed their opponents to come back into the match but held their nerve to emerge victorious in a super-tiebreak. They will take on Kristian Pless of Denmark and Thailand's Danai Udomchoke for a place in the final of the hardcourt event.
