Chinese girls ruled the day

It was a good day for China as five of the chinese girls stormed into the quarterfinal of the $170,000 Guangzhou International Women's Open 2005 in Guangzhou, China.

Zi Yan defeated seventh seeded Marta Domachowska of Poland 6-2, 6-1.
Second seeded Shuai Peng defeated Tzipora Obziler of Israel 6-4, 6-4
Ting Li upset Alina Jidkova of Russia after losing first set 2-6, 6-1, 6-0
Third seeded Na Li defeated Emmanuelle Gagliardi of Switzerland 6-3, 6-2.
Jie Zheng upset JAmea JAckson of USA 6-1, 7-5.
