Yan/Zheng stormed into finals

Zi Yan and Jie Zheng of China stormed into the finals of the $585,000 China Open in Beijing, China. The duo defeated seconded seeded pair of Corina Morariu of USa and Flavia Pennetta of Italy 6-1, 6-3 in the semifinals.

In another semifinal, third seed Ting Li and Tiantian Sun of China lost to N. Llagostera Vives of Spain and M. Vento-Kabchi of Venezuela 6-1, 2-6, 6-2.
