Fourth seeded pair of Ai Sugiyama of Japan and Daniela Hantuchova of Slovakia defeated Daniela Klemenschits and Sandra Klemenschits of Austria 60 63 in the first round of the $585,000 Generali Ladies Linz presented by Raiffeissenlandesbank Oberosterreich. They will now play against Eva Birnerova of Czech Republic and Andrea Vanc of Romania in the second round match.
