Knowles/Bhupathi Capture Second Straight Title in Dubai

The fourth seeds Mark Knowles and Mahesh Bhupathi of India captured their second consecutive ATP doubles title on Saturday.
Knowles and Bhupathi, who clinched the Memphis title last week, defeated third-seeded Czechs Martin Damm and Pavel Vizner 7-5, 7-6(7) in the Barclays Dubai Tennis Championships final. The match lasted one hour and 47 minutes.
Knowles and Bhupathi converted their second break point opportunity of the first set on the Vizner serve to win the opener 7-5 in 42 minutes.
In a closely fought second set, Knowles and Bhupathi saved a further four break points and maintained their record of not being broken in their last three matches by winning their third match point in the tie-break.
The pair is now 13-3 for the year, having won their last eight matches in straight sets, and split $89,500 in prize money. Damm and Vizner, who won last month in Marseille, share $47,100.
Bhupathi has now won 43 career doubles crowns, while Knowles has 49 trophies to his name
