Paradorn storms into semifinals

Paradorn Srichaphan of Thailand has stormed into the semifinals of the mens singles at $3,169,600 Pacific Life Open in California, USA. Unseeded Srichaphan upset twenty-second seeded Jarkko Nieminen of Finland in the quarterfinals 6-7(5) 6-3 6-2. His semifinal match will be against top seeded Roger Federer of Switzerland.

Earlier in the fourth round, Srichaphan defeated fourth seeded David Nalbandian of Argentina in three sets 7(5) 6-3 6-2.
