ASIAN 14/ U TEAM TO AUSTRALIA (DEC 2005 – JAN 2006)
On conclusion of the year long Asian U/14 Series sponsored by Australian Open top ranked eight boys & girls were selected to go to Australia to play the ATF 14/U Series Masters Finals and decide the champions. The Masters Finals were held at Melbourne Park, Melbourne, Australia from 29 th to 31 st December 2005. Master ALCANTARA, Francis Casey (PHI) and NAIK, Adnya (IND) were crowned the Asian U/14 champions in boys' & girls' respectively.
They also participated in the Optus 14/U National Teams Event (Australia, New Zealand, Asia) 3-8 Jan, Australian National 14/U championships 9-15 Jan both at Gosford and Ambassadors Cup 18 - 20 Jan at Kooyong. They also witnessed the Australia Open matches at Melbourne. The Tournament results are as under:-
